6 Questions Unanswered by Science or Religion

Being the sceptic that I am, my mind refuses to accept simplistic answers to the complex questions that plague people (or atleast some people)! Here are six questions that I wonder will be answered in my lifetime.

1. What was there before the universe was formed (either by the Big Bang or by the entity known as God), and what will be there if the universe as we know it comes to an end?
2. What happens after a human or animal dies? (Well, the animal usually becomes an ingredient at McDonald's or Ponnusamy, but you know what I mean)!
3. Do ghosts, spirits, ghouls etc. exist?
4. Why do placebos work on some people? Is the power of belief so strong that it defies logic?
5. Is there intelligent life in outer space?
6. Why do Britney Spears, Lindsay Lohan and Paris Hilton behave the way they do?

If you have the answers, let me know!

1. There was the big white tablecloth before and there will be a big white tablecloth after

2. CNN IBN, Aaj Tak and NDTV will be there to do a 24 hour coverage on what is this country coming to, are we safe any more and when the next big tablecloth will come.

3. Yes. The euphemism is boss by the way.

4. Good question. Best way to put it to test - make a placebo birth control pill.

5. There is. And here's proof. They're intelligent, so they aren't coming here. QED.

6. They haven't found you yet.

Seriously, you should read the book A Brief History of Everything by Ken Wilber.

Sathya, Science or Religion itself has evolved *only* as per man's knowledge/understanding. And limitation of man's knowledge is evident when we see/hear about so many unexplained phenomena in this world which goes to show man is so so minuscule in front of the universe. Just my two paise :)
